Bandipora, Kashmir – 30 September 2023: Sat Sharma, the President of the Jammu and Kashmir BJP, criticized the Congress, National Conference (NC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and other political parties for their alleged opportunist politics that have hindered the development of Jammu & Kashmir. He made these remarks during the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition at Gulshan Chowk, organized as part of the ongoing Seva Parv celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
Sharma’s statements came during a significant event attended by party dignitaries, including J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan and District President Bandipora Mudassir Farooq Jan. He launched a pointed attack on the INDI alliance, which comprises several regional and national parties including Congress, NC, and PDP, alleging that they have thrived on nepotism and corruption. He claimed that their politics have consistently betrayed the people, pushing Jammu & Kashmir into a state of despair.
“For decades, these dynastic parties have prioritized their own interests over the welfare of the people. They’ve kept Jammu & Kashmir in the dark while enriching themselves,” Sharma stated. His comments resonated with many attendees, reflecting a growing sentiment among voters who yearn for accountability.
In contrast, Sharma lauded Prime Minister Modi’s government for its transformative vision since coming to power in 2014. He emphasized the unprecedented development in the region, citing improvements in infrastructure, economic reforms, and social justice as hallmarks of Modi’s leadership. “The face of India has changed significantly under Modi’s guidance, promoting transparency and accountability in governance,” he asserted.
Sharma further noted, “Every effort made by the Modi government reflects a commitment to building a New India. The stark difference between the empty promises of the INDI alliance and the tangible results produced by the BJP is clear for all to see.”
The event showcased milestones from Modi’s life, illustrating his dedication and sacrifice compared to what Sharma described as the corrupt practices associated with the INDI alliance. Anwar Khan remarked that the exhibition serves as a testament to Modi’s vision, stating that it embodies a stark difference from the coalition that, according to him, stands for betrayal.
Mudassir Farooq Jan also voiced his support, declaring that Modi’s leadership has positively transformed the identity of both India and Jammu & Kashmir on the global stage. He pledged that the BJP will continue to communicate these achievements to the public on a grassroots level.
Jammu & Kashmir’s political landscape is witnessing a shift as leaders like Sharma advocate for a clear distinction between the development-oriented policies of the BJP and the perceived failures of regional parties. As discussions about governance, opportunity, and transparency grow, the electorate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the region.
