Doda, July 07: As part of the ongoing Anti-Dengue Month (ADM) campaign under the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), the District Malaria Team from CMO Office Doda conducted an extensive field visit in Doda Town and its adjoining areas on 06.07.2026.
During the visit, the team carried out intensive Information, Education and Communication/Behaviour Change Communication (IEC/BCC) activities to raise awareness among the public regarding the prevention and control of Dengue and Malaria. Residents were sensitized about the importance of maintaining environmental sanitation, eliminating stagnant water and other mosquito breeding sites, and adopting personal protective measures to safeguard themselves from vector-borne diseases.
As part of surveillance and monitoring activities, the team also inspected the MF-8 Register maintained at the Pathology Section of Associated Hospital, Government Medical College Doda to ensure proper recording and reporting in accordance with programme guidelines.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer, Doda Dr Vinod Sharma and under the supervision of the District Malaria Officer, Doda, in line with the guidelines of the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) to strengthen vector-borne disease prevention and control measures across the district.
