Delhi Police Nab Two Wanted Criminals Linked to Foreign Gangsters

The Delhi Police on Friday apprehended two wanted criminals in an encounter in the Kapashera area. The accused, Akash Rajput and Mahipal, are linked to a network of foreign-based gangsters.

Rajput, originally from Rajasthan, has a notorious history. He faces charges in multiple extortion and kidnapping cases across Haryana, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. Authorities had also announced a ₹20,000 bounty on him due to his criminal activities.

“Rajput allegedly played a significant role in a July 2022 firing incident outside a hospital in Assandh, Karnal, orchestrated according to the directives of gangster Daler Kotia,” shared a police official. “He is also wanted in a July 2025 kidnapping case in Gujarat. In that incident, gangster Kirit Singh Jhala demanded a hefty ₹100 crore ransom,” he added.

This recent wave of criminal activities unveils deeper connections. According to police, Jhala recently joined forces with notorious gangsters including Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar, and Virender Charan. Meanwhile, Mahipal, who had faced arrest during the same Karnal firing incident, had also been released on bail and resumed his activities within the criminal network.

During the Kapashera encounter, Rajput sustained a bullet injury to his lower body as police managed to overpower him. He received immediate medical attention and is currently hospitalized. The police have initiated further investigations into their operations.

This encounter not only emphasizes the ongoing problem of gang-related crimes in the region but also highlights the coordinated efforts by the Delhi Police to dismantle such criminal networks. The police continue to urge the public for vigilance and cooperation in reporting suspicious activities linked to local crime syndicates.
