Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati announced on Friday that the unprecedented turnout of supporters at the Kanshi Ram anniversary rally on November 19 has sent rival parties into a state of unease. The rally, commemorating the 19th death anniversary of the party’s founder, Kanshi Ram, took place at the Kanshi Ram Memorial in Lucknow, solidifying the BSP’s position as a formidable force ahead of the upcoming elections.
After a day of enthusiastic gathering, Mayawati took to X to express her confidence in the party’s support base. She highlighted the significant presence of youth and women, asserting that their vibrant cheers and slogans aimed at securing the BSP’s fifth term in Uttar Pradesh showcased a motivated and determined electorate.
She stated, “The enthusiasm at the rally clearly reflects the unwavering determination of our supporters.” Mayawati emphasized that it is natural for opposition leaders to “lose their composure” when faced with such overwhelming shows of strength from the community.
“The people of Bahujan Samaj have demonstrated nationwide commitment to fulfilling Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s dream,” she said, reinforcing the communal goal of empowering the oppressed through democratic means. Mayawati urged party cadre to stay vigilant against the “divisive and deceitful tactics” of political rivals, stressing the importance of unity and resilience.
