LG Manoj Sinha, CM Omar Abdullah Wish People on Vijayadashami

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Vijayadashami and Gandhi Jayanti. Their messages underline the significance of these occasions, celebrating values of peace, unity, and righteousness.

In his message, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized, “On the joyous occasion of Vijayadashami, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all for their happiness, well-being, and prosperity. Vijayadashami symbolises the victory of good over evil and righteousness over unrighteousness. May this sacred festival inspire us to work for unity, peace, and progress of the country and strengthen our spirit of harmony, brotherhood, and oneness.”

As Gandhi Jayanti approaches, LG Sinha paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, commemorating his 156th birth anniversary. “I pay my heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation. This is an occasion for all of us to rededicate ourselves to internalize Bapuji’s ideals of peace, non-violence, truth, tolerance, compassion, and selfless service. Bapu dedicated his life to India’s freedom, social equity, and rural development. His concept of Swadeshi focused on self-reliance and promoting local production. I appeal to all people to buy Swadeshi products and support local artisans and cottage industries,” he stated.

The Lieutenant Governor further encouraged the citizens, saying, “On this momentous day, let us pledge to follow the path of truth and non-violence, promote peace and work for building a Viksit Bharat.”

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also conveyed greetings on Vijayadashami, highlighting its symbolism of the triumph of good over evil. He remarked, “Dussehra inspires people to uphold the values of truth, righteousness, and justice under all circumstances. It conveys a timeless message of moral courage and harmony, vital for building a better society.”

In his message for Gandhi Jayanti, the Chief Minister said, he remarked.
