Jammu Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) Daily Wagers Union under the leadership of Ashok Singh Rana went on indefinite hunger strike, here today.
The agitating protestors said that till the state government and JKPDC not fulfill their demands they will not end their hunger strike.
Protesters also raised slogans against state government JKSPDC and demanded regularization of daily wagers who were engaged from the last more than 15 years. They said the government should fulfill their demands at earliest so that their families may suffer further.
Addressing the gathering Rana said that in recent past many times the union has approached the higher authorities but nothing has been done so far. He warned that the corporation that if their demands will not fulfill at earliest, they will come on road with their families and will also stop the Baglihar project.
