Drabu sacked reportedly for his Kashmir remarks

Jammu and Kashmir finance minister Haseeb Drabu has been sacked by chief minister Mehbooba Mufti reportedly for making a statement about the Kashmir issue, Times Now quoted sources as saying.

Haseeb Drabu, who formerly headed the Jammu and Kashmir , had said that Kashmir is a social issue and not a political issue.

Speaking at an event themed ‘Kashmir: the way forward’, Drabu said,”Don’t see J&K as a conflict state and a political issue, it is a society which has social issues right now. We are trying to find our own space and we are going through a process which many other countries are also going through,” Drabu said.”
