400 students take part in skill programme – Jammu Voice

Jammu, A ‘Kaushal Mela’ under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)-a skill development programme, was held at Government Polytechnic College here today for the awareness of students.

The event was organised by the Care College and Care Computers under the aegis of the Care Educational Trust. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament (MP), Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, was the chief guest at the event.

Kulbushan Khajuria, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jammu Urban Development Agency, Professor Vinod Sharma, Head, Computer Sciences Department, University of Jammu and Arun Bangotra, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Jammu, were the guests of honour. Over 400 participants, mostly women candidates, participated in the mela. Jugal Kishore lauded the vision of PM Narendra Modi in ensuring skill development of Indian youth with a special focus on candidates belonging to the underprivileged sections of society.
